Field Day 2004 was held in slightly more chilly temperatures than usual, which turned out to be perfect weather for the active contestants. Much better than the normal baking hot Field Days of the past! |

Continuing the unbelievably fantastic Heritage program, our intrepid archaeologists-to-be go to a dig at site #37, uncovering ancient Chinese artifacts spanning several dynasties.

In addition, the diggers found some terra cotta statues and fossilized bones from the Qing Dynasty.

The evening program tonight celebrated the opening of the Olympic Games with our own Wawasee Olympics Festival. Camp is nothing if not topical! Contestants went among each of 8 stations and scored points by competing in various Camp-sized versions of major sports.

Another time-honored Camp activity is looking at photo albums of people doing the same things Campers are doing today. In this case, looking at pictures of your parents having funny haircuts and staying up really late.
