Thoughts about Family Camp as told by the PreTeens
This year preteens and teens were asked what they thought about Family Camp in the year 2000. Here is what they had to say:
- Michael: Park Ridge IL: A fascinating experience. If only it could last longer...
- Diana Yu: St. Charles, IL: CSAS was one of my most favorite experience in my whole entire life. Though I miss my family, I would still like to stay for another week.
- Ang Ma: Chicago, IL: Without the CSAS the summer would be kind of boring. But it would be fun to stay another week.
- Mary Yu Park Ridge IL: Chinese Family Camp was the best part of my summer this year. I learned a lot from this camp like how to play tennis, fishing, beading and math. (from Ang) I can't wait to come back to CSAS next year. (hope there is an ice skating rink) It's a great camp for us all!
- David Chao Park Ridge, IL: Next year I am inviting a lot of different Chinese boys.
- Ashley Chin Chicago, IL: Chinese Family Camp was a great experience for me. It's a wonderful way of getting to meet people. At camp, you get to get closer to your families. I think that you can also learn things about yourself that you never knew before. I hope to come back next year.
- Elizabeth Chao: Park Ridge IL: Camp this year has been a lot of fun for me because of all the girls my age who attended. There was always someone to play with and you were never lonely.
- Elysa Chao: Cleveland OH: This year was really extraordinary because there were a whole lot of activities and many other children my age. Just hangin' out with my friends at a hotel is a really great way to spend a week. IT WAS A TON OF FUN!!!
- Madeline Kelterborn: Hinsdale, IL: I think that camp was fun this year because I got to see all my cousins. I really liked doing the crafts.
- Christa Fratantoni: Scottsdale, AZ: I really had a fun time; I liked seeing my cousins. My favorite thing that we did this year was playing miniature golf.
- Diana Kelterborn: Hinsdale, IL: I had a very good time this year. I liked seeing my cousins. I wish it were two weeks long instead of one.
- Julie Fratantoni: Scottsdale, AZ: This was my first year at camp. I had a really great time because I got to meet a lot of people and try a lot of things I had never done before. I also like to work with other people so this was a good opportunity for me.
